In this post I'm going to explore the theory of the Electric Universe (don't worry, no equations involved!), because it is the base to understanding a relative new theory on world mythology which I will discuss next month.
The myths of creation and the symbolism still used today (crowns, evil eye, the ancient Gods, the pyramid, etc.) are so similar around the world that they may have a common origin whose meaning had been lost throughout the millennia.
Could it be that they all derive from a planetary configuration dominating Earth's sky until around 6,000 years ago? This is the thesis explored by writer David Talbott and physicist Wallace Thornhill in the documentaries Thunderbolts of the Gods and Symbols of an Alien Sky.
Back to the Electric Universe, to write my story Homecoming, in which the main character, Shr, is an inhabitant of the Sun, I had to research our star and frankly I didn't understand how the nuclear fusion worked. I mean, it didn't make sense to me. It turns out I'm not the only one and I was pleasantly surprised when the Electric Universe Theory explains how the Sun works in far more logical sense.
Talking logic, let's start from the beginning.
The Electric Universe theory is based on the idea that as 99.9% of the Universe is made up of plasma – electrically charged gas – and that the electromagnetic forces that are found everywhere may have more influence on our Universe than gravity.
Nearly everything in the Universe is formed of plasma, all stars, including our sun is made of plasma.
Gravity is the weakest of all forces.
As plasma makes up most of the universe, is everywhere and is so much stronger than gravity, could it be an Electric Universe?
As stated on the website http://www.electricuniversetheory.com:
The Electric Universe theory is interdisciplinary, integrating and supporting subject as diverse as the science (astronomy, geology, physics), with the soft sciences such as ancient history and comparative mythology.
Perhaps not surprisingly, the Electric Universe has also become the target of pseudo-skeptics, whose criticisms have consisted of ad hominems, misunderstanding, misrepresentation, and labeling as pseudoscience.
Key points of the Electric Universe Theory
Plasma physics and electrical engineering hold the key to explaining the origins of powerful magnetic fields throughout the cosmos, contrary to what we have been taught that electric currents produce magnetic fields.
According to NASA,
The filaments persist in NGC 1275 even though the turmoil of galactic collisions should destroy them. First, active galaxy NGC 1275 is the central, dominant member of the large and relatively nearby Perseus Cluster of Galaxies. Wild-looking at visible wavelengths, the active galaxy is also a prodigious source of x-rays and radio emission. NGC 1275 accretes matter as entire galaxies fall into it, ultimately feeding a supermassive black hole at the galaxy's core. This composite image, recreated from archival Hubble Space Telescope data, highlights the resulting galactic debris and filaments of glowing gas, some up to 20,000 light-years long. Observations indicate that the structures, pushed out from the galaxy's center by the black hole's activity, are held together by magnetic fields. Also known as Perseus A, NGC 1275 spans over 100,000 light years and lies about 230 million light years away.

The Fermi Bubbles, giant gamma-ray structures which scientists have dubbed "incandescent bulbs screwed into the center of the galaxy," are both explicable and predictable in the Electric Universe. (

A pulsar is a highly magnetized rotating neutron star or white dwarf that emits a beam of electromagnetic radiation. This radiation can be observed only when the beam of emission is pointing toward Earth, and is responsible for the pulsed appearance of emission. A neutron star is the collapsed core of a large star which before collapse had a total of between 10 and 29 solar masses (supernova). Neutron stars are the smallest and densest stars.
The EU theory states that these stars are not mainly made of neutrons (as the established model affirms), and the enormous amount of energy released by a pulsar confirms the validity of the EU Theory (

Mainstream science sees lightning as part of a closed Earth's global electrical circuit. However, there is more and more evidence that the circuit is actually open, connecting planets and the Sun. Before NASA sent its Juno spacecraft to explore Jupiter, astronomers were "totally wrong" about much of what they thought they knew about the planet, the mission's principal investigator, Scott Bolton, said during a lecture here at the 231st meeting of the American Astronomical Society on Tuesday (Jan. 9).

This is not the first time that mainstream scientists are proven wrong by data received from space probes like Juno and Cassini (for example: the plumes of Encedalus, the fact that at the centre of both poles of Saturn there is a hot spot, that Io's hot spots are hotter than any lava on Earth, and so on) while these phenomena were predicted by The EU Theory.

Some surface features of various cosmic bodies are caused by electric discharges or cosmic mega-lighting bolts. These include various craters and valley/river systems like the Grand Canyon, the Mariner Valley on Mars, the Stickney Crator on Martian Moon Photos, and the Rayed Tycho crater on the Moon. The Electric Sun theory (also Electric Star theory, and Electric Sun Model and Electric Sun Hypothesis) is the idea that the Sun (and stars) derives the main sources of its power electrically from its surroundings, rather than from within by nuclear fusion (the mainstream view). This also explains why the chromosphere, transition region, and corona are much hotter than the surface of the Sun.
More and more data from the Hubble Space Telescope show us planetary systems in which gas giants orbit their stars closer than smaller, rocky planets.
