The 2030 Agenda, approved at United Nations Headquarters in New York in September 2015 and available in PDF format from many internet websites, is the updated version of Agenda 21. As I wrote in my previous blog post, at a first glance this UN document, generally referred to as Agenda 2030, seemed to me a good document. In its PDF version it’s 41 pages long, so it can be read in a sitting. However, to translate its Orwellian Newspeak into plain English takes considerably longer. I invite you, dear Seeker, to read it for yourself, do own research and draw your own conclusions. My aim with this blog post is to highlight just few of the things that, to me, don’t feel right. So, what's the declared aim of this agenda? In Point 3 of its Declaration section, it states, “We resolve, between now and 2030, to end poverty and hunger everywhere; to combat inequalities within and among countries; to build peaceful, just and inclusive societies; to protect human rights and promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls; and to ensure the lasting protection of the planet and its natural resources. We resolve also to create conditions for sustainable, inclusive and sustained economic growth, shared prosperity and decent work for all, taking into account different levels of national development and capacities.” Prompted by Point 91 (the last point of the Agenda), which reads, “We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to achieving this Agenda and utilizing it to the full to transform our world for the better by 2030”, the news I had heard about the UN flashed back to me, helping me to translated the UN’s Newspeak. a) How can this institution, deeply involved in human rights abuses, “protect human rights”? You may reply that the UN is not the nations that signed this Agenda, and it’s the signatory nations that are committed to protecting human rights. That’s true but of course those nations are aware of the appalling UN track record and have done nothing to address the issue. Therefore, their governments are complicit in its horrific crimes. If you haven’t heard anything about the enormous human rights abuses perpetrated by this body via its workers and peacekeepers, here’s just a few articles for you to peruse:
b) How does the UN “promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls”? By allowing Saudi Arabia to become a member of its Women’ Rights Commission. Here's one of the many articles available online: It’s absurd: how Saudi Arabia Ended up on the UN Women’s Rights Commission (Fortune, 25th April 2017). c) What about this goal, “to ensure the lasting protection of the planet and its natural resources,” how are the signatory nations implementing it? By promoting fracking. Last time I checked, fracking, forced on us by governments all around the world, is not a renewable energy, and its effects in the long term are unknown. I live in the UK and what I see is tyranny. The police has been allowed to treat peaceful protesters as if they were criminals, like you can see in this video, Lancashire Police brutality & arrest at PNR nr Blackpool, Lancashire. Even politicians like Keith Taylor, MEP for the South East region, has called for a review of police tactics at fracking protests (The Guardian, 10th July 2017). What I find outrageous is that the local people’s concerns and decisions are being ignored, even if their local authorities voted against fracking. Apart from all the risks involved (earthquakes, water contamination, use of large amount of water in the process, etc.), how would you like to live by a fracking site, hearing a siren-like noise 24/7 and seeing the value of your property reduced to zero? Is this the way “to create conditions for sustainable, inclusive and sustained economic growth, shared prosperity?” To our leaders yes, and if you add the zero hours contracts and the TTP and TTIP treaties (that we can still stop before they are ratified in our countries), the picture is bleak. This is already alarming, nevertheless the real threat to our way of living is in the following points, 31 and 33. “31. The global nature of climate change calls for the widest possible international cooperation aimed at accelerating the reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions and addressing adaptation to the adverse impacts of climate change. We note with grave concern the significant gap between the aggregate effect of parties’ mitigation pledges in terms of global annual emissions of greenhouse gases by 2020 and aggregate emission pathways consistent with having a likely chance of holding the increase in global average temperature below 2 degrees Celsius or 1.5 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels.” This, as I discuss on in my previous post , is not true as we’re actually at the beginning of the Grand Solar Minimum. This means that we’re headed to a new Ice Age. The more greenhouse gas emissions the better, without polluting our planet of course. The question is: why is the UN pushing this lie? Apart from the huge amount of public money that who promote this global warming scam (Mr. Al Gore for example) have been granted, with little or no control on how the taxpayer money (our money) is spent. The key to understand what this is leading to is in the points where biodiversity is mentioned, like in Point 33, “33. We recognize that social and economic development depends on the sustainable management of our planet’s natural resources. We are therefore determined to conserve and sustainably use oceans and seas, freshwater resources, as well as forests, mountains and drylands and to protect biodiversity, ecosystems and wildlife.” What is meant by “sustainable management of our planet’s natural resources”? Well, it’s explained in the Convention on Biological Diversity, based on the Wildlands Network (formerly known as the Wildlands Project). In a nutshell, in order to protect biodiversity, ecosystems and wildlife, humans should give up their homes and farms and agree to live in mega cities in confined spaces, so that large carnivores and ungulates can thrive in huge reserves, protected by buffer zone. These reserves would be connected by corridors, thus allowing little interconnection between human settlements. Here’s what a map of the USA would look like if this madness is fully implemented: The allocated space for human is the one in pale blue: not much, right? We’d better get our acts together and oppose Agenda 2030 all steps of the way, because to me it looks like its ultimate aim is the creation of a Hunger Games society. Actually, I think that the UN is far too corrupted to be saved and should be closed down. What do you think?
