You know how you feel when, after labouring for a long time over something, you achieve your goal? That feeling of completion, of satisfaction and pride? Well, that’s how I feel. Why? Because this week, after two years of plotting, writing, revising, editing here and there, and integrating feedback into my work in progress, I have finished the sequel to Across Spacetime! Just over 40,000 words. Double the amount of words written in Across Spacetime.
Soon I’ll dive into the second phase, revising.
Next phase, editing.
Third, shopping around for a suitable editor, submitting my manuscript and interacting with the editor.
Fourth, printing everything again, reading it a few more times, and pitching it to publishers around the world.
And after landing a publishing contract, the planning of the book launch will commence.
You see, although finishing a manuscript is no mean feat, it’s really just the beginning of the journey to publication.
However, I feel like celebrating this achievement in order to draw from it the strength I need to carry on.
And you, dear reader, would you like to share your latest achievement with my Community of Seekers?
